Polygon Lasso Tool

Is it possible to have a Polygon Lasso Tool - I find it really useful in Photoshop. Thanks!

To create a polygonal selection, draw a polygon with the Pen Tool (in Polygon Mode!) and then press the 'Selection' button on the Context toolbar. If you want a regular polygon, use the Polygon Tool and convert the result to curves (with Ctrl+Enter on Windows or Cmd+Return on a Mac) and then switch to the Pen Tool and proceed as above.

What is the selection tool? The closest I see are the 'select all' button and the 'quick mask' button.

I didn't mention a Selection Tool, I only mentioned the Pen Tool. When I choose the Pen Tool in Affinity Photo, I see a 'Selection' button on the Context toolbar, as described in my previous post.

 

As Hofnaar pointed out, you can use the Shift key with the Free Hand Selection Tool to create a polygonal selection. This also works in Affinity Designer.
