leonahussey
i figured out how to view objects that are not on the canvas, by deselecting "clip to canvas". but how do i do this when working with artboards? i WANT to see what's not on the artboard. i always have artwork off the canvas/artboard. that's how i work. i don't understand why AD has this option. in graphics software, you always see what isn't on the artboard. PixelPest
Have a look under->View->Views->Clip to Canvas. I assigned it to a shortcut. Cheers P.
Staff MEB Posted November 7, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 7, 2016 Hi leonahussey, This is by design. You have to drag the object entirely off the canvas to be able to see it. Objects crossing the boundaries of the canvas as in your example are only partially visible (the area inside canvas). Currently there's no way to change this.
