tiago1801 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 How to align objects like that? Only on Mac? That trace perfectly align both objects wihout formating their points. Any way? Quote
armadillo Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Use the snap tool (the little magnet icon at the top). Then select how you want snapping to work for you (you likely want to use object bounds) Quote

tiago1801 Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 here you go: I adjusted everything but still that I can't sign that line aligning perfectly the objects. What am I missing? Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 26, 2016 Staff Posted September 26, 2016 Hi Tiago1801, The object you are trying to snap to may not be a snapping candidate. Go the the Snapping Manager (menu View ▸ Snapping Manager...) and check Show snapping candidates. This will highlight/outline all objects that are snapping candidates with a purple outline (that is it will show you which objects can be currently used for snapping - Affinity doesn't snap to all objects on your project at the same time - it would be a mess of smart guides). If your rectangle is not outlined with the purple line it means it's not a snapping candidate and as such the smart guides don't appear. To make it a snapping candidate, mouse-over it a few moments until it gets highlighted/outlined with the purple line, then you can snap to it. tiago1801 and LilleG 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
tiago1801 Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 Thank you, MEB That works correctly for me Quote
Roland Rick Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 This does somehow not work in Affinity Photo. Pls see attached screen shot. What do I make wrong? To make it a snapping candidate, mouse-over it a few moments until it gets highlighted/outlined with the purple line, then you can snap to it.
