Hi Ekoh,

Would it be possible for you to provide the original image so I can try removing the object myself? This will allow me to advise you on the best possible method for doing this :) Any files you send to me will be deleted once I have looked at them if you would rather not post the file on this thread please feel free to send me a private message   :)

Thanks

C

I agree with pauls.  There are some things that the Inpainting tool simply can't handle.  In those cases, use the Clone tool.  When using the Clone tool in situations like this, it helps to un-check Aligned.

ekoh, i used the inpainting tool on your image and got a pretty decent result.

i think the key was to select very precisely what to inpaint where the object to be removed has no or very little uniform color around.

i attached the image. it is saved with history, so that you can undo the few inpainting steps and see how i proceeded.

anyway, the clone tool is a very effective alternative, as pauls and lilleg suggested.

Yes. clone is easier.

How to do it accurately? In this case, there is  a line between brown and grey.

Not sure without seeing it but the inpainting tool might now be able to fix that line for you.  Or you could try blurring it a bit with the Blur tool.  Again, I'm suggesting without knowing exactly how it looks now so I may be completely off.
