Dave Markey Posted March 19 Posted March 19 When I highlight an Area in Freehand Selection Tool and select Edit in the menu, the Fill option is grayed out. So I tried the Inpainting Brush Tool to see if I could make it work and it did not work either. All worked fine up to today. It seems like the program does not have authority to change the photo for some reason. Affinity Photo 2.6. Mac Monterey on my older iMac. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Dave Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Check if the layer is of type image layer. In that case rasterize the layer. Dave Markey Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 Have been working on other photos today starting with raw and all is working correctly. The file that I am having the problem with is a jpg. Just wanted to add that to the situation that I am working with. Quote

If you open or place it in Affinity Photo it will not be a JPEG -- it just uses that as part of the layer name. So check to make sure that the layer type is "Pixel" (if opened) or if placed (so it is an Image layer) then try the suggestion above to rasterize it.
