Finding Bugs Everywhere Posted March 9 Posted March 9 What is the point of the 🩶 icon in the font selector? Am looking for any method to manage the grossly excessive and undeletable fonts in Macos from showing up and making work difficult sorting through prompts to find the one I need. Rather new to Affinity but not a beginner on graphics applications. Just wondering how this problem might be better managed with this app. Quote
GarryP Posted March 10 Posted March 10 In order to try and reduce any misunderstandings, can you show us what you can see on your screen in a full-screen (whole application UI) screenshot and point us to the thing you are asking about? Quote

Finding Bugs Everywhere Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 👎 Have you ever even used font book for anything but installing fonts? You cannot delete system fonts with font book or anything else. Quote

I use the Character panel and then choose one of the Font Book sets I have set up to get rid of for example the Noto ... fonts. We can't use the Font Book sets in the context toolbar. For my needs as an anglophone I have a Font Book set called English which excludes the various non Latin script fonts, Tamil, Cherokee, CJK, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. I have another one called Current Project which includes the fonts I want to use in whatever I am using. Please note that the Favourites in Font Book are not the same as the Favourites in the Affinity Applications.  Alfred 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
