Jamal Tariq Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Since updating to the latest update no. 2.5.7 for windows 11, my images are not properly aligning and I am getting very unclear messed up stacked file with only a few stars visible all of them hazy and bloated. This problem is being faced after the update. Please sort this out. I am using sigma clipping with Std Deviation of 2 and Clipping iteration of 5. Raw profile is RGGB (for Dwarf 3 smart telescope images), I am also using Dark caliberation frames. P 3 affinity.tiff P3 Barnard 37 Affinity Stack.afphoto Edited January 23 by Jamal Tariq Quote

Staff Lee D Posted January 28 Staff Posted January 28 @Jamal Tariq I can't recall any changes to Astro stacking in the last update. It would help if we had a copy of your images to go through the stacking process to compare, can you provide a download link for them? Quote
PaulMA Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Hello, I have a similar non-alignment issue with Affinity Photo 2 (v.2.6.0) New Astrophotography Stack… I’m a Mac user. Under the Files tab, I add 30 light frames and 20 dark frames (all CR2 RAW format images taken with Canon 5DsR). Under Stacking Options tab, I’m using Sigma clipping, with Threshold at 2 and Clipping iterations at 5. Under the RAW Options tab, I set the White balance to Camera. I then click Stack and it produces a sharp image with a sign saying “Stacking succeeded” with an OK button to click (see attached before and after screenshots). Unfortunately, when I click OK I get a blurred, non-aligned image. I would really appreciate someone from Affinity coming back to me asap with some help, please. PaulMA Quote
