Taxicab Messiah Posted January 14 Posted January 14 It would be really useful to be able to change a filters intensity based on a gradient tool you could apply to that layer. An example below is the voronoi filter being used on a model. I would like to be able to have the cell sizes change gradually from top to bottom. This is currently the only way to have the voronoi filter transition from small cells to larger cells over the length of an image, manually & choppy. Quote
Old Bruce Posted January 14 Posted January 14 All I can think of is that perhaps the Procedural Textures filter could do what you want. This particular example is like needing a drill bit that will drill smaller/larger holes according to the x, y location. Komatös Posted January 15 Posted January 15 What you have in mind here is very special, you will have to wait until Serif completes the script interface that was conceived in the pre-alpha stage. Taxicab Messiah Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 Being able to change filter intensity seems like a very basic feature. It was one of the first things I tried to do when playing with filters & adjustments. Quote
Old Bruce Posted January 15 Posted January 15 What you are asking for is to alter the settings of the filter depending on the location, the x, y co-ordinates. Personally I don't know of any application that does this. Please take into account that my experience is quite limited, so I could well be wrong and would like to know about any applications that can do this. I like learning that I was wrong. Taxicab Messiah Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 Affinity Photo is the only photo editing application I've ever used and I've only used it for 2 weeks. Hopefully some fresh eyes and fresh complaints brings about some new features. Quote
