awakenedbyowls Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I can get it to snap to edges using Shift, but apparently not two perpendicular edges at the same time Here we go again... I need to crop a 188x188cm photo to 188x185cm - PRECISELY - something which in the old days I could have done in seconds but apparently not these days with Afphoto Quote
Brian_J Posted January 13 Posted January 13 With Snapping enabled, the Crop Tool should snap to the edges of the canvas and to guides. The Shift key is used in unconstrained mode to constrain the aspect ratio — it doesn’t have any effect on snapping as far as I know. I’m not sure if I understand what you’re trying to snap the crop to. Can you provide more details? awakenedbyowls 1 Quote Windows 10 22H2, 32GB RAM | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)

Staff NathanC Posted January 21 Staff Posted January 21 Hi @awakenedbyowls, As far as I'm aware Photo's Crop box isn't responsive to layer content, such as pixel or image layers. However, provided the relevant snapping objects are enabled it can snap to elements such as Canvas sides, Margins, Grids, Margins and Guides. Therefore, you could add Horizontal and Vertical guides and snap them to the perpendicular Image edges, and then snap the box to the placed guides using the Crop tool. Quote
