Why canvas doesn't work?

Hello,

i have noticed that i cannot use clip to canvas with while working with multiple artboards i cannot check it on older file that i have been working on previous version 

i'm using version 2.5.7

From the Affinity Designer Help File...

• Clip to Canvas restricts the document view, so you can only see objects which are placed on the page.
• Clip to Canvas is switched on by default. This option is unavailable in documents containing artboards.

@PesticSam, note that objects are automatically visually clipped to artboards until they are moved entirely off any of them, at which time they appear unclipped in the workspace window.

To put it another way, you can’t ‘Clip to Canvas’ if there is no canvas to clip to! An Affinity Designer document consists of either a single canvas or a number of artboards, never a mixture of the two.

It may also consist of pages instead of either of those if it was created in APub.

Good point! But once again, it can’t consist of a mixture of pages and artboards.
