The document uses physical units, and when resized to pixels it shows fractional pixel size on y axis.

I would recommend to resize to pixel as units first and correct the fractional pixel size, before using pixel art resize.

On Desktop, it might get rounded up automatically during resize.

Never the less, it resizes correctly on iPad.

please upload a screen recording or screenshot so we can reproduce exactly which pixel art resize options you are using.

Does it crash when using pixels as units and having no fractional pixels?

Thanks for answering. I have not clear what you are saying about pixel units. Would you please explain?

I tested also on a MacBook Pro M6 16M Sequoia. Same result.

If you want I can record the screen... but perhaps is not necessary. Just open, resize, crash.

Use Document-> resize and change the units from points to pixel.

Ok, when using hqx with 4x I get a crash on iPad, too.

the x/y size is 7650 / 5766 and a 4x upscale to about 30000x 23000px may exceed undocumented limits of the app.

I can confirm that Photo 1.10.7 on iPad does not crash (exported the file as PNG Rec.709).

Nor 2.55. only Beta 2.6 crashes.

my fault - I did not note that the original document was already so big.

P.S. - however a "normal" software should perhaps warn, not crash. But nobody is perfect, and in general I see big improvement in Affinity products stability, especially in Apub which I use every day for many hours.

no reason for sorry from your side. 
It looks like a bug as you said, and even V1 can process your file without breaking a sweat.

An issue raised in this thread ("App crashes when trying to use Resize Pixel Art Document on a large image") has now been reported to the developers by the testing team (Ref: AF-4822). Thank you very much for reporting this issue to us.

The issue "App crashes when trying to use Resize Pixel Art Document on a large image" (REF: AF-4822) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.3027). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
