jlucenius Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hello, I'm using AP Beta 2.5.5 (2636) on macOS Ventura, and am unable to open photos taken with iPhone 16 Pro Max in HEIC format. DNG photos open normally taken with the same phone. Please let me know if you need more details. Thanks. Quote
Hangman Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hi @jlucenius and welcome to the forums, Unfortunately, this is a known issue logged as a bug under AF-4369 currently awaiting a fix... As you're using Ventura rather than Sequoia you may find the workaround of opening the HEIC files in Apple Preview and then re-exporting them as HEIC files works but let us know if that's not the case... Sarang KUlkarni Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Hello. I have both versions of Affinity and Affinity2. The older format is able to open some of my iPhone photos in the HEIC format, but not all of them. The New Affinity 2 version can't open any of the iPhone photos. I tried exporting it through apple preview, but the exported file was ridiculously memory intensive....over 75 MB in size for one image! When will Affinity 2 be fixed to deal with this issue, and if it has been resolved, how do I install the "fix"?? Quote
Hangman Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Hi @Sarang KUlkarni and welcome to the forums, This 'issue' was fixed in the 2.6.0.3078 Beta release so you should be able to open your HEIC files once version 2.6 is released which sounds as though it's not too far off as we're currently at RC4... If it helps and you want to upload a sample file we can test it for you to ensure it opens in the current 2.6 Beta...
