Hi,
I recently worked on a Projekt with Designer V2 that constantly crashed as soon as i zoomed in on certain point.
I now was able to pin down the object responsible for the crash: it's a line that i drew freehand on my wacom tablet (i think i was using the pen tool and later converted it to a brush stroke)

Zooming in on that line makes Affinity crash instantly.

I'm using Version 2.5.5 on Windows 11
hardware acceleration is on (but also crashes when off)

A screenshot and the AFDESIGN file is attached

Thanks for looking into this!

Just for an extra bit of info’, confirmed in Designer 2.5.5 on Windows 10.

The application ‘hangs’ (which lasts about a minute) and then crashes when the zoom level goes beyond various points depending on how the zoom is being actuated (around 600% using the mouse scroll-wheel or around 460% when incrementing the zoom value via the Navigator zoom value field, for me anyway).

Prior to the ‘hang’ and crash, the curve looks a bit blurred.

Releasing the Curve Layer from the Layer layer doesn’t make a difference.

No crash report is produced.

Strangely it crashes on Windows but not on Mac... but if you remove the extraneous End Node it no longer crashes on Windows...
