predick
Please fix this next beta. Ligatures cannot work on Version 1.5...beta but the store version can work very well. Cheers :) . Ligatures_for_testing.afdesign
Dave Harris
This is by design. It is happening because you have set Tracking to 60 permille. You are telling Affinity to space out the characters, so the 'f' and the 'i' get separated and then they are no longer a ligature. If we didn't do this, the text could look very uneven. In extreme cases you can get "fi x" when you expected "f i x". Bauke and predick

predick
Hi MikeW, How to turn it on, please tell me. I've tried to find all menu but I cannot see it. Actually I have a problem with other language ligatures. It's fine to miss this but better if I have an option. Thanks you.
MikeW
From the Character flyout, choose the menu, top right. Typography. predick
predick
Thank you for your solution, it seem so easy. I followed your steps but I've found only 'Standard Ligatures'.What is the version you use?
MikeW
At the bottom of the Typography panel, check the box for Show all font features. If discretionary doesn't show up, that OT feature isn't in the font. predick
