Affinity Publisher join two curves

Recommended Posts

I don't know, why are some simple things so hard in this application, simple join two curves with join command - can't be done, join command is dimmed not responsive, I also put bot points in the same spot, the same. It made me crasy, why, this is one of the simmplest thing in drawing with pats

Good question. I also wonder why it simply feels so hard to take all available information of the interface into account when running into or posting questions. In this case it might be helpful to have a look into the Layers Panel and the entire Context Toolbar. Possibly you were trying to join a closed with an open curve* …

* which is impossible in any app, not just Affinity.

Both nodes need to be selected.

Why would things be simple when they can be complicated. I work with same pen tool, just mismatch one point and want to join, so...

I think you have at least 4 curve objects there, so you've already made it complicated.

And you're trying to join two end-nodes, which might further complicate things. What direction should that curve run?
(Edit: Joining at end nodes works just fine, and Affinity picks a direction. So it's something else.)

Two paths, I draw a path and mismatch one point I draw furder and then I want to connect, same pen two paths with same tool and same with. When I select two points I expect that command join should  do command.

Indeed. Why showing the Layers Panel with collapsed layers, especially if selected objects seem to be hidden within a collapsed layer?

I can make it work. I can also make it not work.

I'm not sure what you're doing as you haven't shown the Layers panel details (as @thomaso has also mentioned).
