Dank voor uw tijd en aandacht. walt.farrell Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Spellchecking Language is controlled by the Language you have applied to the text, using either the Character panel (Language, Spelling) or a Text Style. It is not controlled by your application Settings. It must be an attribute of the text, because even a single sentence could have words in different languages. Ideally there could also be a default specified at the document level, or the application level but there isn't really. (The User Interface language specified in the Settings will act as a kind of default for the Spelling Language, but it's complex to explain.) walt.farrell Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 By the way, @AvdB, what you showed in your Screenshot is not Spellchecking but Autocorrect, which changes text as you type it. For that, each built-in (User Interface) language has a separate set of Autocorrect options, which are applied as you type based on the Spelling Language for the characters you're typing.
