Alfred Bayati
Hi, Start the program, File>>New will create a new document. Grab a PNG file move and drop it in the document and it works fine. If you do the same with a BMP file the program crashes and stops. Is this normal or a bugg? Alfred

Mark Ingram
Hi, I've just tried to reproduce this here and I can successfully drop the BMP onto a new document, as well as using the Place Tool. Can you reproduce this each time?

Alfred Bayati
Hi again I think you are on the right track. I copied the two files from the directory which has Swedish letters in the name to desktop. From the desktop i can add both to a document with no problems. Still adding the BMP file from the directory having Swedish letters in the name crashes the program. Alfred

Mark Ingram
G:\B\Nya företaget (itmed) Alfred Great, thank you Alfred, now I can reproduce this here. Thanks for your help. Looking at the code, the same crash will occur when loading several other file types (i.e. it's not related to being a BMP, though PNG, JPEG, and RAW are immune to this). Alfred Bayati
Hi, I am glad i could help. I did some more tests and found out that the same problem arises with some of the export types, like GIF, when saving it to a library with Swedish letters.
