Sparkleybright
Affinity Photo became unresponsive (unable to use any tools, etc). I shut Affinity down and restarted. Now tool bar doesn't show and unable to open photo. I have Context Toolbar checked in the view menu. I have restarted Affinity Photo and my computer. No luck. Any help? Sparkleybright
UPDATE: I deleted Affinity Photo from my computer and thought I would redownload. Now I have gone to the App Store to redownload and it says "Installed" and won't let me re-install. Now what?
Sparkleybright
UPDATE #2: Restarted computer so I was able to redownload Affinity Photo. BUT, still with the same problem. No tools and when I click to open a photo, it doesn't open, but at the top it does give the dimensions of the photo and other info as if it was open. Alfred
If it gives the dimensions of the photo and other info, it must be open! Check that its window hasn't been minimized (into either the Dock or the application icon, depending on your settings in System Preferences). Sparkleybright
Thank you for answering. I looked at Mac System Preferences and I don't know what I'm looking for. On Affinity Preferences I looked but couldn't find anything that might cause the window to be minimized. But, even if that were so, what happened to my tools and studio? Staff MEB Posted June 19, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 19, 2016 Hi Sparkleybright, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching the application from LaunchPad then select Clear from the dialog that wil open to reset the app. Does it work as expected after the reset? HRP
Was trying to use the custom settings on the crop tool when all panels disappeared, except for the main panel showing the image. Tried to relaunch holding shift and control and then selecting clear. It almost worked. Seems like everything is back expect functionality of crop tool. It will outline the area to be cropped, but there is no longer an apply button or dialog box. Thanks for your help.
Staff MEB Posted July 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2016 Hi HRP, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Check/tick menu View ▸ Show Context Toolbar. Does it solved the issue? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
