Dan C Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 We’re very sorry to hear your Affinity document is no longer opening. In order for our team to assist and investigate this issue, we're going to need a copy of this file and some further information. Please attach the file to a new post and we’ll take a further look to see if we can recover any of its contents. If you require a private upload link for your document, please indicate this in your post and our team can provide one for you. We also require some information regarding your setup, to help our development team locate the cause of the problem and reduce the chance of it happening in future. Please include the following alongside the corrupted document: Which Affinity app and version did the file last get saved in? (ie Photo, 2.4.2) Which Operating System and version are you using? (ie Windows 10, macOS 10.15 Catalina) What error message is shown when trying to open the file? Please include a screenshot of this error if necessary. Are you saving to an Internal drive, External drive, USB stick/Memory card or Network location? Is the folder you're saving to syncing to Google drive, OneDrive, iCloud, Dropbox or other Cloud services? Do you have any Anti-virus and/or Anti-malware software running on your machine. If so, which one(s)? Was this file a new document or are you trying to save to an existing document when the corruption occurred? Are you able to save a new document to the same location without an error? Can you remember what you were working on or the functions most recently used within the affected document before the corruption occurred? Any other information you think would help us try to find the problem? We suggest that you check to see if you have any backups of the document available in case we’re unable to recover the file. If your document is synced to cloud storage, it may have a File History feature that should allow you to download a previous version of the file. SRThomp, ATP, Hangman and 2 others 5
