Affinity-Inspiration Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 The Command controller can’t be used unless the onscreen keyboard becomes active, and it doesn’t if only an image is onscreen. iPad If I select Text (Artistic or Frame) it’s fine, but if only an image is selected and I want to Invert an adjustment with Command+I I can’t. There’s no keypad showing. Photo. 5.2 Quote iPad Mini 6. 256GB. My GoTo design platform. M2 Mac Mini. 24GB. LG 4K Monitor. + Samsung Monitor 2. Windows 10 Toshiba. Windows 11 Parallels on Mac. walt.farrell Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 I would phrase that a bit differently, I think. The Command Controller can be used, but clearly it can't be used with keyboard input unless you have a physical or on-screen keyboard available. And I can't tell you how to get the on-screen keyboard if you don't have one of the text tools active. Sorry. Alfred Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Why would you want to jump through hoops to use the Command Controller, given that you can go to the Adjustments Studio and choose the ‘Invert’ adjustment there? Affinity-Inspiration Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 For a start, if I have a curves adjustment layer on an image, and try to invert that layer on the iPad, it just turns the whole image into a negative image. On the desktop, Option+I inverts the adjustment layer, not the whole image. so I was looking for the same action. Quote iPad Mini 6. 256GB. My GoTo design platform. M2 Mac Mini. 24GB. Because the Invert Adjustment on iPad doesn't behave the same way as the desktop version. In that you can't Invert an existing Adjustment layer. Alfred 1 Quote iPad Mini 6. 256GB. The Invert Adjustment works the same way on both, but the Invert Adjustment is not the same as the desktop's Layer > Invert which is a completely different function.
