I noticed this change that I used to make use of to expand the text box to match the size of the hidden text.

If I double click on the bottom node of the text box it no longer expands.

I’m on 2.5.1.

Hi @Nuahs,

I've only ever known this to work the opposite way, i.e., double-clicking the bottom and/or right text frame handle would scale an oversized text frame so it fits the text but I may be wrong...

It isn't working this way in v2.5.2 on Mac or Windows so I'm unsure why this would have been changed unless it has to do with or is related to the new text scaling handle option for text frames...

Hopefully, someone in the moderation team can clarify...

Ah there is an update! I should have checked. Let me check if this does anything for me.

Nope the update doesn’t seem to fix this. I know it’s small but this behaviour has changed and it’s something I found useful.

Yes, that's how it's always worked.

Unfortunately, this does not work in the Windows version.

On Windows it works for me when the overset text is displayed but not when it is hidden. Is that new or has it always been like that?

I think you’ve articulated it better than me but now I have figured it out and this will work just fine going forward.

I think it has changed slightly with the overset active.

You're right (2.4.0). And it's also quite logical - the size adapts to what is currently visible.
