Clémence
Hi, In affinity designer, how can I ensure that the bevel and stamp effects remain in vector? Because for me, my problem is that the effect is transformed into an image, it does not remain in vector, even if I export in SVG, I don't understand the problem ? (my software is up to date, I just did it, shouldn't I have ?) Edited May 28 by Clémence
Komatös
Hello @Clémence and welcome to the forums. The vector export formats do not recognize the layer effects of the Affinity apps and must therefore be rendered with the corresponding layer. You could exclude it in the export settings, but then you will get a result without effects. Clémence
So why buy defective software? Because even color gradients are exported as images whereas before, it worked very well. I don't believe for a second that Affinity Designer can't handle all of this, it's not that I don't believe you @Komatös, but I would like a response from the team affinity. walt.farrell
@Clémence: A forum usage hint since you're new here: To tag another user, you must type the @ and then start typing their username, and then pick the proper name from the dropdown list that appears. Doing that will give a highlighted field like you see at the beginning of this post. What you have done with the two instances in your post just above will not work. (Let alone that you misspelled or translated one of the names ) However, continuing the hint, the we are not supposed to tag specific staff members (such as Dan C) who have not already been involved in a topic. Topics create tickets in a tracking system, and an appropriate staff member will pick them up eventually. So, if you had been successful in tagging him, you might simply have caused a different staff member to ask you not to do that. Dan C
Hi @Clémence, All 'FX' applied within Affinity are not supported in Vector formats and has to be rasterised to a pixel object when exporting, in order to retain fidelity. This has been true for all Affinity apps since the FX options were first introduced and is not new to the current latest update - therefore the software is not 'defective' in this regard. On 5/28/2024 at 11:11 AM, Clémence said: even color gradients are exported as images whereas before, it worked very well If you apply your Gradient using the Gradient Tool, it will remain in Vector where applicable - if you apply a 'Gradient Overlay' through the FX options, these will (and have) always be exported as a rasterised object. I hope this clears things up. walt.farrell
J'espère que cela clarifie les choses. ok, thanks for your response.
