AP 2.4 mask options from layer panels don't work

Recommended Posts

Why can't I the mask icon and get various mask options like the Youtube tutorial screenshot?

To get compound, hue, luminosity, etc masks I have to go to the menu bar>layers>live mask layer>options-see 2nd screenshot.

Hi Kat,

This behaviour changed a few updates ago, now if you left click the button you get a new mask layer and if you right click the button you get the old menu :)

Thanks
C

It's hard to say for sure, without knowing which YouTube tutorial you're watching, and what you get.

But my guess is the tutorial is out-of-date, and not made using the latest version of Photo.

The Help tells you what you currently need to do, which involves using a modifier key (Alt or Option, depending on your OS).

My mouse is set so the right button is my main button, left my secondary. I'm on AP 2.4.2

Didn't work @Callum. Right I get a ordinary mask. Left nothing.
