lennyd21
Options start at Color, Document option is at the top so you'll have to scroll up one to see it which is odd.
GarryP
Welcome to the forums @lennyd21 I’m having trouble understanding what the problem is and where it is. Can you give more details, preferably with a full-screen screenshot that shows us what you think is wrong?
walt.farrell
@GarryP: Create a document. Add a Document Palette, and give it a name alphabetically before "Color". Save and close the document. Reopen it, and look in the Swatches panel. At step 4 you will probably find that the panel is showing you the Color palette, not your document palette. GarryP
lennyd21: If the problem you are reporting is that outlined by Walt then that’s already been requested here (in point 1): https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/192894-suggestions-for-improvement-of-color-palettes/ It’s also (sort of) related to this bug report: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/195702-swatch-panel-palette-keeps-reverting-to-colours-–-v23/ It’s also (sort of) related to the discussion here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/197615-make-global-swatch-default/ ...and others. Basically quite a few people would like palettes and swatches to be handled differently to how they are handled now. These threads were found via a forum search for swatch default . walt.farrell
Staff Dan C Posted May 8 Staff Share Posted May 8 Hi @lennyd21, Welcome to the Affinity Forums & thanks for your report! I can certainly understand why you'd expect the Swatches dropdown list to start as high as possible, whilst showing the currently active palette within the list and currently the app will always put the currently active one at the top (or as close to the top as possible), regardless if there are palettes alphabetically sorted above these. Therefore I'll be raising this with our development team now to confirm if this is a bug or an improvement request, and will then subsequently log this internally as appropriate. I hope this helps
