MikeTO Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 In the other thread, @Hangman wrote: The Text Style Editor panel uses 'Title Case' for each 'Panel name heading' but 'Sentence case' for 'Style' and 'Subcategory' names in each section. The Studio panels use 'Title Case' throughout... And Sean wrote: I'm not entirely sure which bits you're referring to here I've asked about this before and was told it was intentional. Title case for dialog, panel, and section titles but sentence cease for control labels. There are inconsistencies even within some panels and dialogs but the Text Styles panel looks like it generally conforms to Affinity's house style. Apple now directs developers to choose between title and sentence case (I don't like that there's not a standard but that's what it is) and Serif chose a mix of title and sentence. In the other thread, @Hangman wrote: Optical Alignment: Selecting 'Type: Font' shows all options greyed out so it is only possible to edit values when 'Type: Manual' is selected And Sean wrote: This is intentional - it uses the font's optical alignment values, and so ignores the table. I see Hangman's point, if you choose Font in the Paragraph panel you can then edit the values but Text Styles doesn't let you do that. However, I wish the panel worked more like Text Styles. If I choose Font and then change a value it should switch automatically to Manual. It doesn't and there is no way to get back to the Font's values. I've logged the Paragraph Panel being incorrect and that it should be disabled when Font is active to visually indicate to the user that these are not being used. Quote
