Claudina19 Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Hello Everyone I am new here. i recently bought Affinity Photo 2, and I have the following problem: When I open a photo in Affinity Photo 2, it only opens the photo in the Layer Panel, it does not show it in the main window of the program, that is, in the Desktop. There it only shows an empty box, how can I fix this problem, If somebody can help me out. Thanks Maria C .V. Quote
Old Bruce Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 I would look to see what the Transform panel shows for x, y co-ordinates and the size H, and W of the layer, you'll need to select the Move tool which is the Arrow, just below the Hand tool which is currently selected. I would show the Navigator panel which is at the bottom right of your screenshot. I would try hitting the keyboard shortcut for Zoom to Fit which is Command + 0 (zero). Have you ever used multiple monitors? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Staff stokerg Posted April 17, 2024 Staff Posted April 17, 2024 Hi @Claudina19and Welcome to the Forums, This may be Metal acceleration causing this, so can you try switching it off? To do this, please click on the Affinity Photo menu in the top left corner and select Preferences>Performance and at the bottom of this dialog please untick Hardware Acceleration and close Settings. You'll then be asked to restart Affinity and once restarted, open the image, is it now displayed correctly? Quote
