Publisher crashes when trying to use Fields

Hi All,

I struggle with using Publisher's Fields. Every time I try to insert a mouse cursor elsewhere within a Field (e.g. to correct a typo or change something) Publisher crashes. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Hi @PanGad,

Could you confirm which version of Publisher you're using along with the version of your OS...

It would be very helpful if you could upload a quick screen recording showing the complete UI demonstrating the issue so we can see the steps you're using to see if we can replicate the problem...

I can select the entire Field. I cannot insert the text caret into the letters of the words in the field. How are you trying to get the caret "elsewhere within a Field"?

I am on Publisher 1.10.8. I work on Mac Studio M1 Max with Sonoma 14.4.1 

In new documents, Publisher crashes when I try to double-click within any Field. In more complex documents, it may crash at the very attempt to click within the Field.

@PanGad I'm only getting a crash in Publisher V1 on macOS Sonoma if I double click into the Author field. I believe this relates to Sonoma as I also tested on Monterey and was able to click into the field and enter/edit info.
