Fritz_H Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Open any image in Photo 2.4.1 select the crop-tool press the backspace key the image-layer is deleted (why? makes no sense in this context) press ctrl-Z (undo) -> no effect press esc to cancel the crop tool -> no effect (Usability?) click cancel-button to quit crop tool NOW you can UNDO the layer-deletion Although I can almost hear the voice of Serif telling me, that this behavior is intentional.. to me its just one more usability-flaw... one of far to many... GarryP Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 When you press the Backspace key you are deleting the layer which is selected, which is kind of expected, I suppose (maybe some people might want to do this while cropping). But I would say that pressing Cancel should probably undo everything that was done with that ‘session’ of the Crop Tool, and the Undo should also work within that ‘session’ (unless there's a good reason no to). So this looks, to me, like a mix of expected behaviour and something else. PaulEC 1 Quote
Staff Lee D Posted April 9, 2024 Staff Posted April 9, 2024 @Fritz_H I've logged this as an improvement to the Crop Tool workflow. Quote
