KarinC Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Is there a way to copy an object, then select another object and replace it with the copied object? Quote
MikeTO Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Just now, KarinC said: Is there a way to copy an object, then select another object and replace it with the copied object? No. I've wanted that myself before because I have some muscle memory from some app that worked that way. I'll make a note of it, this would be a trivially easy script to write once scripting is available. It would just need to get the coordinates of the selected object, delete it, and paste whatever is on the pasteboard to the coordinates of the previous object. Sadly and frustratingly not to my knowledge. I have been asking for a Paste Replace function (most useful as a right click context menu item) for quite a while. KarinC Posted March 28, 2024 Author Posted March 28, 2024 I remember it too from somewhere because I keep looking through edit and trying to find it. I think Flash had it. I guess I'll have to do it the hard way. Quote
Dan C Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 As confirmed above, this functionality unfortunately is not available currently in Affinity - therefore I'm moving this thread to the Feedback section of the Forums for our team to see and consider adding this in a future update Quote
