Inconsistent updating of style changes in the table of contents in AP 2.4.0

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I noticed the following bug on AP 2.4.0 on MacOS:

  1. Create a table of contents in a document
  2. Edit the style of one of the entries from the Text Style studio (modify [FR : Modifier [style name])
  3. Changes are taken into account immediately in some cases (e.g. bolding), but others requiring refreshing the ToC (e.g. changing the font colour).

This inconsistency seems a bug to me.

I just tried this with a blank document and it worked fine.

  1. Create a new doc, draw a frame for the TOC and one for the headings
  2. Type a heading and format it as Heading 1
  3. Place the TOC
  4. Edit TOC 1: Heading 1 and make it red - the TOC updated automatically

Does this not work for you? Are you on Mac or Windows? If it's not working for you, what do you have to do to get the red to show up?

Change the style of one of the entries

I'm curious exactly what you mean by this. Can you provide more details on how you made that change, and exactly what you changed?

The same happens to me and I am on a PC. It is inconsistent as to whether or not I need to refresh to apply the changes

Hi and welcome to the forums. Could you please share a screen recording of the issue? A couple of us have been unable to replicate the issue.

Thank you
