albertkinng Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 I have a Universal License and I want to know if I can install my apps on another computer within my home. I originally used a PC for which I purchased the UL, but I have now upgraded to a Mac. Can I install the app on two Macs now? Quote Ask for my services: albertkinng.com

For a more complete answer about how many computers the licenses cover, refer to the next to the last FAQ titled "How many devices can I install Affinity apps on?" at https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/affinity-2-faq/ or the equivalent if you live somewhere other than the US. albertkinng 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7

For example, if a user in Germany goes to https://affinity.serif.com/affinity-2-faq they will be redirected to https://affinity.serif.com/de/affinity-2-faq/ but a user in the UK is redirected to https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/affinity-2-faq/ Try the same method on other international sites such as Microsoft or Apple support; e.g. https://support.apple.com/102646 It’s quite interesting to compare the last section on the ‘pt-br’ and ‘pt-pt’ versions of the above page. (If you try to do this for the Affinity 2 FAQ page, pt-br will work but pt-pt will give you a ‘404 Not Found’ error, because the Affinity apps only support Brazilian Portuguese, not European Portuguese.) That’s quite surprising! I wonder why your system thinks you’re in the UK. I have no idea other than maybe it just looks at the 'en' & guesses, but that seems farfetched. Anyway, I suggested using the appropriate region code in the fully specified URL because using the locale-omitted version did not take me to the US page.
