A-Designer 2.4.0 States crashes

I installed Affinity Designer 2.4 and tested the new feature states. As soon as I click the regular expression, the app crashes.

It's the Layer Name text entry box, causing the crash... as soon as you click in the text entry field and either toggle the Layer Name off or uncheck the Layer Name option the crash happens across all three apps...

Affinity Designer  Beta 2.5.0 (2437) | Affinity Photo Beta 2.5.0 (2437) | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.5.0 (2437)

This is correct, as a workaround for now, if you press enter after using the text field and then tick the regular expressions box it should avoid the crash

The issue "[macOS] Crash clicking Regular Expressions with the layer name text field active" (REF: AF-2139) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.2.2356".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
