Hangman
A really minor one if it's not already logged... There is no differentiation between 'Characters' and 'Characters including spaces' in Publisher's status bar which means having to click the option to see which is selected... i.e., the additional 'including spaces' text isn't shown in the status bar when the option is selected so both options only display the text 'Characters'... MikeTO
FWIW Apple Pages labels it "characters" with and without spaces so this isn't uncommon. Perhaps the label could be spaced out "1,234 c h a r a c t e r s". Just kidding. 🙂 It really needs thousandths separators though. It does indeed, 'bad apple'... 🙃🍎 Though it does have separators if you enable 'Number Separator Grouping' in the 'Language & Region' Advanced tab in System Settings... unlike Publisher's word and character count along with measurements... and Quote Affinity Designer 2.4.2 | Affinity Photo 2.4.2 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.2 Affinity Designer Beta 2.5.0 (2430) | Affinity Photo Beta 2.5.0 (2430) | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.5.0 (2430) Affinity Designer 1.7.3 | Affinity Photo 1.7.3 | Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 MacBook Pro 16GB, macOS Monterey 12.7.4, Magic Mouse
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted April 25 Staff Share Posted April 25 The issue "'Characters Including Spaces' only shows as 'Characters' in the Status bar" (REF: AF-1958) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.0.2317". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
