Judy Mills
I'm using affinity in a very basic way for a church newsletter. All of a sudden my new text boxes all have the top right grey box attached and all my typing is going there. How do I get rid of it please? firstdefence
Welcome to the forum @Judy Mills You may have inadvertently saved the text box as a default and also have a text style applied. Save the publisher file with the textbox as is and attach it to your next post so we can work out what you have done Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Judy Mills
Thanks. Here you are. But please keep your answers simple; I'm easily confused! 2 UA February 2024.afpub
firstdefence
You have a text style set, with the misbehaving text panel selected, look at the text style panel and select No Style; if you don't see a text style panel go to Window > Text and click on Text Styles to activate the panel into view. firstdefence
Just a note, click on the Box style first, this moves the box to the left instead of the right, then click on No Styles, you should have a correctly functioning text box now. thomaso
Alternatively: Select the Text Frame with the Move Tool then click the "Revert defaults" button in the Toolbar or choose menu Edit > Defaults > Revert. firstdefence 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
