Layer states - regular layers are not in the list of layer types

Recommended Posts

Is it me or shouldn't it be possible to select layer type is and be able to select both groups and layers as types. I think Regular layers are missing from the list. Pixel layers are there.

If I enable layer types only groups matching the criteria are affected,

Example:

  • I have a group named Affinity
  • I have a layer named Affinity
  • I have a shape named Bingo

With these objects, only the group is affected with this query:

I simply no longer believe that there are any professional graphic designers here. Everything follows suit. Just everything.

@Bit Arts,

Are you referring to Layer with a Capital ‘L’ in this instance, i.e., created using the ‘Add Layer’ icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel?

Isn't that because your query specifically restricts to "Layer is Group"?

But I think you're right that you did be able to select Layer layers. I'm not sure what you mean by Regular layers, though.

Exactly - but I cannot select the good old layer type that is created with 'Add layer' - the regular good old layer type.

The issue "Layer states > Add "Layer" container to Layer type list" (REF: AF-1762) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2256".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
