Add Pages in Publisher doesn’t give the expected result when the number of pages added is even and if the newly added pages use the same Master as the Publication Pages when the Publications Pages are populated with text.

Scenario

Master A - only contains two linked text frames
Master B - only contains two linked text frames (and is a duplicate of Master A)

All Publication Pages use Master A
The document uses facing pages
Text is added to the Publication Pages and flows throughout the document

Test 1

Add Pages from the Pages Panel or the Document Menu
Number of Pages - any even number, 2, 4, 6 etc.,
Insert - Before
Page - 1
Master Page - Master A

Expected Result - the specified number of new blank pages to be added before Page 1

Actual Result - the specified number of new pages are added before Page 1 but the last of the newly added pages is populated with the first page of Publication text instead of appearing blank

Test 2

Add Pages from the Pages Panel or the Document Menu
Number of Pages - any even number, 2, 4, 6 etc.,
Insert - Before
Page - 1
Master Page - Master B or None

Expected Result - the specified number of blank new pages to be added before Page 1

Actual Result - the specified number of blank new pages are added before Page 1

Note 1: Adding an odd number of pages using Master A in a document with populated publication pages adds the correct number of blank new pages before Page 1

Note 2: In Publisher 1.10.8 selecting an even number of pages to add before Page 1 using Master A in a document with populated publication pages automatically adds an odd number of pages before Page 1

I have read somewhere here about a bug when inserting pages before page 1.

I don't recall anymore…

There was AF-458 though the outcome was different and it's listed as being fixed in v2.3.0.2139. In that instance following the above steps removed all frame text based on a Master page, here text isn't being removed, it's just appearing on the wrong page...
