FotoWaX Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 I'm using APh 2.3.0 (fresh install) on MacOS Ventura 13.6.3. Imported DNG-files with an intense blue color are partly displayed in magenta. This issue appears in the current version 2.3.0. I've tried zu change the RAW-engine to Apple Color Immage RAW, but the result is awful. I've tested the performance settings in different versions. It didn't lead to any improvement. Here is a comparsion between APh2 (left) and APh 1(right). The right side is darker, but the original color is OK. Changing White balancing and gamma preview didn't work as expected. I've no idea how to work with that issue and I didn't found any other settings that improve the import. Quote
Hangman Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Hi @FotoWaX, Could you upload a sample Apple RAW / DNG file that is exhibiting the issue so we can take a look at possible causes? FotoWaX Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 Good morning @Hangman, of course - here it is! IMG_3353.DNG Quote
Hangman Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Hi @FotoWaX, Many thanks for the file... This looks to be a known issue with certain RAW files and a similar bug has been logged as AF-1571, though it also looks to be related to the Application of the Tone Curve in the Affinity Photo RAW Editor when using the Serif Labs RAW Engine... Having said that, the Magenta cast appears when opening the DNG File in Capture One Pro as well which suggests the issue is with the source file rather than the RAW Engine processing the file... I'll update this post if I can find some additional info re this issue... Staff Lee D Posted January 3, 2024 Staff Posted January 3, 2024 @FotoWaX Some changes to how RAW files are handled have been made and should be included in the 2.4 beta when it's ready for testing. Quote
