Wayne Liu Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Version 1.10.8 Issue: When the "New Batch Job" window is opened, nothing can be clicked! What Happened: Open "New Batch Job" All buttons are unresponsive What is expected: Buttons can be clicked. More notes: Clicking the TAB key still walk and focus the buttons through the whole UI. Pressing the spacebar button still trigger its function correctly. It's just mouse click is not working. It happens to both my Intel-based and M2-based MacBook Pro. Note that: this issue occasionally vanishes automatically, but usually it doesn't work. It seems this issue starts to appear after v1.10.8, but I am not sure if it is related as I haven't used the Batch function for a couple of weeks. Quote

Wayne Liu Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) More details are found: When I use the mouse to launch the app: this problem occurs. When I use the touch pad to launch the app: this problem would not occur. More details: Scenario A: Make sure "Affinity Photo" is not opened. Click "Affinity Photo" using the mouse to launch this app. In "Help" - "Search" textbox - input "batch". Select "New Batch Job..." In the "New Batch Job" UI, all objects cannot be clicked (no matter using the mouse or touch pad) Scenario B: Make sure "Affinity Photo" is not opened. Click "Affinity Photo" using the touch pad to launch this app. In "Help" - "Search" textbox - input "batch". Select "New Batch Job..." In the "New Batch Job" UI, all objects can be clicked (using the mouse or touch pad) Edited December 28, 2023 by Wayne Liu walt.farrell 1 Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 How does it behave if you eliminate using Help, and simply use File > New Batch Job directly from the Menu? walt.farrell Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 It's also probably simpler and faster. But yes, it's weird that using Help has that effect. Dan C Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Thanks for your report @Wayne Liu! I can confirm that I have been able to replicate this issue in both Affinity 1.10.8 and 2.3, indicating the issue has likely been present for a while, but requires such a specific workflow to trigger that it has not been identified before this time. As you've found, using the direct menu option does not seem to cause this - however I will still be logging this as a bug with our development team for further investigating, as it's possible other such dialogs are affected. I hope this helps Wayne Liu 1 Quote
