Exporting selections

I have been trying to export a selection of an image.

But when I press Export and then choose Selection Only or Selection Area, it exports the whole image.

This occurs when an artboard is included (clipped or unclipped to the canvas) but seems to work normally with a single image.

How can the selection only be exported?

Are you talking about a pixel selection?

Somewhat confusing as you are using APhoto not Designer (AhPoto does not have Artboard, natively)

Yes, but artboards can be imported into Affinity Photo using assets and then used within Affinity Photo. And this also occurs when there are two side by side photos. Export selection still exports the full image rather than the selection. Do you have a solution to this issue?

Export--Selection area or selection only, refers to Layer selections (Selected Layers) not Pixel selections (on the Desktop version)

Not sure how you say you got it to work previously but I don't have an iPad, someone else may be able to clarify one way or another

Try Duplicate Selection first and select that layer end export selection

or

Why don’t you use the Export Persona and export ‘slices’ instead.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, I tried that. I could export it as a slice. And duplicate selection also worked.
