Export shortcut : make it simple

Recommended Posts

As the EXPORT function is one of the most used task, I would suggest to make the shortcut with "command + E" (Mac) or  "control + E" (Windows); currently the shortcut is made up with 4 buttons ( "Alt+Shift+Command+S" on Mac ). Crazy! You have to play like a piano man.

All other main functions like COPY (C), PASTE (V), PRINT (P), OPEN (O), NEW (N) ... and many others, are made only with 1 letter.

Kind Regards

You are aware, I hope, that you can change the shortcut if you don't like the current one?

Settings (or Preferences), then Shortcuts

Thanks for the clarification.

I think the other obvious 1-character shortcuts are already taken, but that's certainly something Serif could consider.

Ctrl + E is the standard shortcut for Merge Down (APhoto, PS).

There is an insane lack of logic behind such a clumsy and complicated shortcut to a feature that is used so frequently in all three programs, and without a trace of humility, the problem affects exactly 100% of Serif's customers who use export. I reckon that's a lot.

You'll have to change it - unless, like another Zorro, you love to move your mouse around and activate export from the menu system like in the 1980s.

And then you have to remember that the shortcut letter is S for EKSSSSSPORT. Save As Export? Export and Scream?

And can you add an export icon to the toolbar? No, you can't.

I simply no longer believe that there are any professional graphic designers here. Everything follows suit. Just everything.
