joe_l Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 1. Place an image. 2. Scale it a bit non-proportionally. 3. Move the image into a picture frame. 4. Try to set same scaling or DPI for x and y. 5. Good luck. I like the Affinities, a lot, but handling images and colours error free is bread and butter for a layout programme. APu fails in this field. I use APu right from the start and with every new version it feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step back and some "problematic" areas are not going to be tackled. Sorry for sounding harsh, but this upsets me a bit. Something similar I found here: Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta
Staff NathanC Posted November 28, 2023 Staff Posted November 28, 2023 Hi @joe_l, There's a known bug on Windows only where the manually entering in an image scale % value the output value is arbitrary/unexpected, for example if I had an image with 25% X axis scaling and tried to set this to 100% by manually entering in the value the output is 400%. I'm wondering if this is the bug you're encountering? As a workaround using the slider from scale field dropdown will update the scale value correctly, but it's not ideal since the slider scale makes it difficult to set precise values and it's alot more work then just manually entering the value. Clicking on Original Size seems to work: Before: After: Or setting the two DPI fields works (but make sure you disconnect the chain icon first).
