Iztok Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 When I change when I change the order of the pages and want to move the page higher than it is in the palette, it happens very inconsistently or not at al Quote
Iztok Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Also cahnging pages order is imprecise, must be a line to see where Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 From your screenshots you're using Publisher, not Designer. I'm not sure what you mean by "it happens inconsistently". Can you perhaps provide a screen recording? Also, what version of macOS do you use, and are you using a mouse, trackpad, or some other device to perform the move? Hangman Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Hi @Iztok, I'm assuming (rightly or wrongly) from your description that you are perhaps expecting to see a horizontal line between pages to indicate when a page has successfuuly been moved to its new position, but please correct that assumption if it is wrong. When repositioning pages the page move indicators appear as vertical lines to the left and right of non-facing pages and to the left, middle and right for facing pages. It's actually very subtle in Dark Mode so is really easy to miss but I've made a couple of screen recordings using light mode to demonstrate. Iztok Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 a much bigger problem is moving pages out of the table's field of view, the pages should move if I move the page to, for example, the first place, but I'm on the tenth, which I can't see, this movement is either slow or not at all, and you're throwing pages up a few places and so on until you get to the exact position you want for that page Quote
Iztok Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Iam in dark mode, so yes the line is bearely visible Quote
Hangman Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I'm assuming you have 'Scroll with View' Enabled... It should just be a case of positioning your cursor at the sweet spot in the Pages panel... Scroll Pages.mp4 Other options may include making the Pages Panel wider of the icons smaller for longer documents... Iztok Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Ekample, in pages panel i saw 5 pages,In document i have 20 pages, pages are not in right order, so I need to take page 18 to position 3, when I want move page up, the pages stay in place, sometimes are moving, but incosistently, sometimes pages are in position, so I need to put it up for 4 pages and let and then scroling pages for up position and do it again, In Indesign it work Quote
Hangman Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Thanks for clarifying, I think it would be really helpful if you could make a quick screen recording that shows your complete screen and what is happening when you attempt to reorder pages… Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 Affinity Designer 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Photo 2.6.2 (3213) Beta | Affinity Publisher 2.6.2 (3213) Beta MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
