Snoopeez
Hi there, Years of using Affinity occasionally, and there's something I totally dislike because it prevents to see final render properly in viewport with weired outline (very annoying when zooming out or small fonts) ; And every time I look for how to delete this, never find how. Maybe is it as it is (?) or indeed there is a way I omit (then as a Noob 😁). Thank you for eventual return, Eric Sorry to post and sollicitate for som basic thing, search on the interface X times, on youtube etc, nothing for this specific detail. walt.farrell
If you're talking about that magenta outline, that should be showing Snapping Candidates. You could try turning off Snapping, or adjusting your Snapping Options. A bit more about this for example in the AD V2 Snapping help topic where far down the page it describes this highlight as a "purple halo": Quote Show snapping candidates—when checked, highlights the active snapping candidates, i.e. objects that can be snapped to by prior selection or hover over. Candidates will display a 'purple halo'. Snoopeez
Thank you VERY MUCH guys. Indeed it has to do with Snap ; I searched in all directions (outlines, border...) except Snap (was far to think of this0. Desactivating the bottom (img) checkbox, and snap is still on, coool ! Don't understand why it was by default, it shouldn't. Now Affinity Designer is absolutely fantastic 💫 😁 Thank you again, Eric walt.farrell

I have written here many times that an experienced user who knows this function and needs it for his work (it is very useful, by the way) will simply turn it on, and an inexperienced user will not be unnecessarily confused.
