A couple of questions:

  1. What are you signing-in to? These forums, or one of the Affinity applications?
  2. What do you mean by "new"? As far as I recall, signing-in to the applications has not changed since the beginning of V2, and signing-in to the forums has not changed in several months except that an optional 2FA (two factor authentication) was added for the forums.

If you're talking about an Affinity application, which one and where did you purchase and where did you download/install from?

Can you provide a screenshot or recording so we can see what's happening?

In any case, I just sign-in with the appropriate Affinity Store account info (application) or forum info (with 2FA since I opted in to that), so I'm not sure what you mean by going through Microsoft or Google (unless it's the 2FA).

Hi - I just turned on the two-factor authentication for the forums but didn't get any backup codes. Is this normal? Any site I've used before (including the main Affinity account site) has always provided them. Did I click too quickly and miss them, or is this not an option? I'm going to reconfigure 2FA to see but was curious. Thank you.

Thanks for the 'advise' - but it seems I'm too linked into Google and my Mac Machine is being smashed by bugs from Apple updates... Goggle and Apple pushing Ai is a real bummer, especially when the Ai tag is a contradition in terms. i.e. it maybe artificial but it's not intelligent... it's pretty dum in my experience.

Cheers anyway.
