It's a nice idea, but it has a catch. If you change the default folder icon, you lose the preview of the folder contents.

This hint is also shown when you select Properties -> Customize for a folder.

These look nice, but I think having the version numbers in the icons might cause some confusion – for instance: “I’ve updated to 2.3 but the icon says 2.2.0 What’s going on?”

Well Komatös, that is a bummer. I had no idea. As I said, I'm a Mac Girl. I switched from PC to Mac almost immediately after that horrible OS, Windows ME, was introduced. On the Bright side, I was able to gain a little more experience using Affinity Designer.
