  1. Well Komatös, that is a bummer. I had no idea. As I said, I'm a Mac Girl. I switched from PC to Mac almost immediately after that horrible OS, Windows ME, was introduced. On the Bright side, I was able to gain a little more experience using Affinity Designer.
  2. Yes, I would have liked to have them together, however... I had issues uploading the files. Of course, once I figured out what I was doing wrong, the damage was done. As for the folder, I think I may have a little more confidence in people. I would think that most would be able to see the folder for what it is. ... Just a folder with a pretty picture on it. Cheers!
  3. Here are the Affinity Serif Folders for Windows Affinity Windows 10 Folders.zip Affinity Windows 11 Folders.zip
  4. Working with Affinity Designer this week, I made myself some personalized folders and thought I would share them. Windows folks let me know if the Windows folders need some tweaking. I'm a Mac person, but grabbed screenshots off of my other half's PCs. Affinity Apple Folders.zip
  5. Thank You Thank You Thank You! I searched for a post, but didn't see that one. Maybe my searching skills need a refresher course. However, ... searching the app's Contents Folder, I managed to follow that path easily enough. (The Go To Folder just did not want to cooperate.) For the Windows folks, the background that I created is basically the same thing, just already tiled and much more condensed. Grab it if you want to check it out. You'll just have to resize it for your needs.
  6. The Heading reads Workspace Background, but if I'm using the wrong nomenclature, then I apologize. A picture is worth a 1000 words, so I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
  7. I've been searching for a setting to create a darker workspace background, but ...unless I'm overlooking something, Affinity hasn't implemented one yet. It seems that dragging out a rectangle is obviously the go to work around for everyone, but (my personal opinion only) I'm just not 'feeling it' with a bland background. I've gone ahead and made my own background. Yes, importing it each time I work with Affinity is a bit on the annoying side, but I thought I'd share it here.
  8. Hi There Everyone, My 1st Official upload. I'm not a Graphic Designer. As a matter of fact, I didn't pick up a graphics hobby until a few years after I retired, but... still hope a few Affinity folks enjoy the work. The Styles file as well as the working layers are in the zip file. Carbon Fire Zip.zip
  9. Thanks. Sorry for learning curve. Once I thought of it as Raster, and not part of a Vector composition, I realized it was just anti-aliasing. I dropped it into Photo and Merged it with a black background.
  10. Hi there again, I'm having a little trouble with something else I'm hoping I can get some help with. I'm using a bitmap as a fill for a style that I put together. I can't seem to get the outline from the FX panel to cooperate properly. The outline seems to be treating the bitmap as a semi-transparent background. I've double and triple checked it. It has no transparency or gaps that need to be filled in. Any ideas? Oh, and, ... I plan to make this available, once it's properly finished, (as well as a few other styles and resources that I've created during the process of learning Affinity designer and in general, vector creations,) available for download on the Forum.
  11. Hi there again, I'm not sure if I should start a new Topic. If so let me know... But for now, I have another issue that I'm having some trouble with. I'm using a bitmap as a fill for a style that I put together. I can't seem to get the outline from the FX panel to cooperate properly. The outline seems to be treating the bitmap as a semi-transparent background. I've double and triple checked it; it has no transparency or gaps that need to be filled in. Any ideas? Oh, and, ... 12. Thank you, Lee. I'll be waiting patiently eagerly for the update.
  13. I'm applying a contour gradient to an outline from the FX panel. I have a gradient, that I made previously and stored in the swatches panel. I don't see a way to access the swatches panel from the FX panel. Am I missing something simple?
