Affinity Photo 2 Studio Presets Not Working

Recommended Posts

The following information is for Windows, Macs may differ

Studio Presets do not control if the Left or Right studios are on display, they just control what Studio panels are in those respective studios

Studio presets do not control if the Tools are displayed or hidden, they just control which tools are on display/available for a given Studio Preset

Workaround 1

The Left Studio defaults to having these 4 Studio panels displayed there

Assets
Batch
Macro
Library

If you create a Studio preset that does not contain any of those panels then the Left Studio will not be displayed

Likewise, you can do a similar thing for the Right Studio

Ergo, creating a Studio preset that does not contain any Studio panels (Left or Right) will by default not display the Left or Right Studios (Because they are empty)

Workaround 2

Removing all tools from the Tools Panel and saving that as a Studio preset will give the impression that the Tools are not there (even though the Tools Panel will still be visible)

Workaround 3

Just press the Tab key

It would be nice if the Help described exactly what the Studio Presets control, of course.
