Macros Causing Constant Crashing

Recommended Posts

Application: Affinity Photo
Version: 2.1.1
Can I reproduce: Yes
Does it happen in a new document: Yes, but I will attach the image I am using as a base.

I am trying to use a macro created in V2.1.1 which simply selects 4 Areas, inverts the selection then runs a delete to leave the 4 initally selected areas.
However whenever I run this I get a instant crash from Affinity Photo.

Operating System is Windows 11 Pro 22H2 Build Number 22621.2134
I have tried with hardware acceleration on & off
I have attached the Macro causing the crash itself

Full System Specifications:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Ram: 32GB  DDR4 3600
GPU RX 6800

I'm using V1.10.5 so I didn't have much hope but after running your macro several times it finally worked and I exported it as BlindsMacroAgain.afmacro as evidence
I recorded a similar one of my own and that crashes too
In both cases, loading the macro into the Macro panel and turning off all steps it still crashes
None of this will be any help to you but it may assist Serif in sorting the problem out
Crash report attached - used my macro

I think you've found a nasty bug, have a bump
