Snap to Octogan Polygon vertices, how?

Recommended Posts

Have you tried the Point Transform Tool (F) You can move the Transform Origin point if you want to snap to corners or edges.

(Assuming the octagon is still a smart polygon) Select the Node Tool, make sure Snap to geometry of selected curves is enabled in the context toolbar, select both objects, drag a marquee around all the nodes of the object you want to snap to the octagon's vertices to select them, then drag the node you want from the object over the node on the octagon.

If the octagon is/was converted to curves, select the Node Tool, drag a marquee around all its nodes, make sure Snap to object geometry is enbaled in the global Snapping Options and drag from the node of the object over a node on the octagon (no need to have both objects selected in this case).
