Blending two photos, opacity doesn't work

Recommended Posts

Seems to work fine here

Changing the Opacity of the Moon layer in the Layers panel does what it's supposed to do

Make sure you have that (Moon) layer selected and are using the Layers panel opacity slider

If still not working for you we may need a video

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

So whats the Opacity bar above the layers/channels/brushes tabs for then? The one I have been usiing d'oh.

That's for controlling the Opacity of a Colour.  For example, if you had the Paintbrush tool selected and wanted to paint red with 50% Opacity applied, you'd select Red and then set that slider to 50%.

In addition to the advice above, the tab names – Colour, Brushes, Layers, Channels, etc. – are at the top of their respective Panels; there’s nothing in those panels above the tab name which is related to that panel.

In other words, the stuff in a panel is always underneath the name of that panel.

This can be seen more clearly if you – temporarily – drag a panel out of a studio – see attached image.
